As an activist and technologist, Rabble is passionate about building commons-based social media apps that prioritize equity and sustainability.
Recently the Verse team released the Nos social app. The app was designed to empower people to connect and communicate as the dominance of public, corporate-controlled social platforms has become unappealing to many.
Today, many existing social media apps are now the domain of machine-made content, designed to feed an algorithm. At Verse, we are supporting a new drive for decentralized, user-driven and controlled apps. Care, connection and sustainability are paramount.
